An infamous bandit, El Serpiente, and his gang are operating around Santa Helena. The bandit, wounded when the Queen foils a kidnap attempt, has Dr. Helm kidnapped and taken to his hideout. The Queen comes to Helm’s rescue and kills the bandit guiding him home, setting up a conflict between the doctor and the Queen over the doctor’s obligation to a patient and the Queen’s sense of justice about helping a killer.

El Serpiente, who blames Helm for his man’s death, takes his revenge out on a poor outlying village. As the situation deteriorates, the outraged dons go to Montoya and force him to personally lead the patrols against the bandit gang.

Helm goes to the bandit hideout to convince the Serpent to leave the area, not realizing the Serpent has marked him for death.

Can the Queen and Helm resolve their differences before Santa Helena falls victim to El Serpiente, while avoiding falling into Montoya’s hands?
