A strange robber breaks into the Alvarado hacienda and is discovered by Marta. He’s searching for something, but leaves valuables behind. What is going on here?

The robber meets his confederate – Grisham. The Captain’s heard from Vera of a treasure map. Three dons – Tessa's father, Don Miguel and Gaspar Hidalgo – plotted to keep their dead friend's wealth from Montoya, who had killed the man in a duel. After his death, the three buried the fallen man's possessions and divided a map revealing the treasure's whereabouts into three parts, keeping one piece each.

Grisham is determined to get the treasure for himself, regardless of who is hurt. Vera is frantic when Don Miguel’s hacienda is broken into and the don killed. She’s worried that Grisham has betrayed her confidences to Montoya and put her husband in jeopardy. While the Queen struggles to unravel the mystery before Tessa and Don Gaspar fall victim to Grisham’s confederate, Montoya becomes aware of the plot and the situation become even more complicated.

Can the Queen recover the fortune and save Tessa and Don Gaspar now that Montoya is aware of the existence of the treasure? Can she save them all from Montoya’s vengeance?
